Police arrested Ashish Bikram Shahi, 19, from Kushe Rural Municipality-8, currently residing in Pipal Danda, Bheri Municipality-3, and Kushal Kumal, 22, of Bheri Municipality-3 on July 25 for charges of beating Chief Amar Prasad Shah of Division Forest Office on July 6. The accused had been absconding immediately after the incident and were arrested from Kohalpur, Banke. They were arrested in coordination with the Area Police Office Kohalpur, informed Inspector and Information Officer of the District Police Office, Hari Ram Dangi.
The Jajarkot District Court has extended the remand of the accused by three days in connection with a case related to criminal offense, and investigation is ongoing as per DSP Basanta Kumar Sharma of the District Police Office.
