Eighteen families from Jethal in Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-5 were displaced on July 22, 2025, due to a landslide. Following a landslide on the afternoon of July 21, houses in the settlement were reported to be at risk. A police team from the Mude Police Post reached the site and relocated the 18 families to safer locations, according to Sub-Inspector Ram Prasad Sedhai, in-charge of the police post.
Among those displaced are the families of Chaturdhwaj Joshi, Dandadhwoj Joshi, Lilabahadur Joshi, Surbana Raj Shrestha, Dalbahadur Shrestha, Dharma Singh Shrestha, Mishrilal Shrestha, Tekbahadur Shrestha, and Birbahadur Shrestha. The displaced families have taken temporary shelter at the homes of relatives and local residents in the nearby areas within the same ward for immediate solution, as per Sub-Inspector Sedhai.
Chief District Officer and Coordinator of the District Disaster Management Committee, Kiran Thapa, said that all immediate needs of the displaced families will be addressed.
