Senior Public Health Officer of the Public Health Office, Kanchanpur, Om Prakash Joshi, said that Kanchanpur has been declared a fully immunized district after all children aged 15 to 59 months received the full doses of vaccines required for their age. He informed that the district was declared fully immunized after ensuring that all children in the district had received 13 types of vaccines.

Chief of the Health Office, Kanchanpur, Joshi, said that the district has been declared fully immunized and sustainable after 23,093 children received all the required vaccines, this includes 229 children who had previously missed regular vaccinations. He informed that all nine local levels of the district had already been declared fully immunized and sustainable in May 2025 and the mid June. Speaking at a program organized by the District Immunization Coordination Committee, Sudurpaschim Province Minister for Social Development Meghraj Khadka declared Kanchanpur a fully immunized district, stating that the immunization campaign would be completed in such a way that no child would be left without vaccines.
Mayor of Bedkot Municipality, Bhojraj Bohora, said that in the past, although the birth rate of children was high, many children died due to not receiving vaccines. He added that now, with children receiving all vaccines, the child mortality rate has decreased. Likewise, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Kanchanpur, and Coordinator of the Immunization Coordination Committee, Durgadatta Bohora, said that the district was declared a fully immunized district after providing 13 types of vaccines to children aged 16 to 59 months as per the national immunization schedule.

After the district achieved all the child immunization indicators, officials declared it fully immunized and sustainable. They also honored nine outstanding public health workers who supported the campaign by awarding each of them a certificate of appreciation and Rs. 5,000.
The Health Office stated that after declaring Doti and Bajura districts under Sudurpaschim Province as fully immunized districts, Kanchanpur district has also been declared fully immunized. It further informed that a campaign is underway to provide full immunization to children in the remaining districts as well.
