Police arrested 22-year-old Amit Sada of Balawa Municipality-8 on June 28, 2025, for the charge of attempting to rape a 19-year-old woman. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District Police Office Mahottari on June 29, accusing Amit Sada of attempting to rape the 19-year-old woman when she had gone to a bamboo grove near her house on the night of June 28. SP Heramaba Sharma of the District Police Office said police arrested the accused as soon as they found out about the incident and are conducting further investigation.
The health examination of the victim was done on June 28 at the Provincial Hospital, Jaleshwor.
