Police arrested a 17-year-old boy on on 16 June for the charge of raping a 16-year-old girl. Area Police Office, Saljhandi reported that the accused was arrested from his residence after the aggrieved party filed a complaint on the same day alleging that the he had raped the girl on December 31, 2024. Further investigation is being carried out as per Inspector Khagendra Adhikari of the Area Police Office, Saljhandi.
The health examination of the victim was done at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal, on June 8.
