Police arrested Bikram Kumar Chaudhary,35, of the Haripur Municipality-2 on 26 May for the charge of attempting to rape a 34-year-old woman. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at Haripur Police Station on May 20, 2025, accusing the Chaudhary of attempting to rape the woman on April 9, 2025. Chaudhary was arrested on May 26 and, on May 27, the District Court extended his remand by one week for further investigation into the case, according to Inspector Roman Raj Aryal of Haripur Police Station.
The health examination of the victim was done on May 21 at the Sarlahi District Hospital Malangwa.
