Police arrested Som Kumar Tamang, 21, of Panchkhapan Municipality-1 on May 25 for raping a 17-year-old woman.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on May 23, alleging that he lured and raped the victim on May 22. Based on the complaint, the accused was arrested from Phidim Municipality-1 for investigation, according to Inspector Abhishek Shrestha of the District Police Office.
The health examination of the victim was done at the District Hospital on May 25.
