Dipak Budha, 27, from Bheri Municipality-10, Aali, was found hanging at around 1 p.m. on May 11 inside the Jajarkot District Jail. DSP Basanta Kumar Sharma of the District Police Office confirmed that Budha, who had been in custody for trial on charges of rape, was found dead from hanging on an iron rod of the toilet ventilation. The case against him was still pending in court. Following the incident, police have launched further investigations.
DSP Sharma also mentioned that Budha’s body has been sent to Jajarkot Hospital for postmortem.
