Mustang District Jail, with a capacity for 25 inmates, currently houses 12, including nine convicted prisoners, according to Acting Jailer Lalbabu Sahani. Inmates complained that, due to the lack of a proper boundary wall and other security structures, they cannot see outside except when going to the toilet or moving between rooms. Most of the inmates are serving sentences for rape and murder. A tailoring training program is currently running in the Jail. Chief District Officer Bishnu Prasad Bhusal said they are working with the concerned authorities to improve the Jail’s condition.
