Malikarjun Rural Municipality has made it easier by distributing social security allowances directly at the ward level, ending the need for people to visit the bank every quarter. The third-quarter allowances of the current fiscal year were distributed in coordination with Machhapuchhre Bank. After the social security allowances were distributed directly at the ward level, the beneficiaries were happy. IMS Operator Lokendra Singh Dhami informed that 455 beneficiaries from within the municipality received their social security allowances from the ward office. A total of Rs 62,22,600 was distributed in the third quarter.
IMS Operator Lokendra Singh Dhami stated that services were delivered at the ward level through an integrated mobile camp to ensure citizens’ access to services provided by the Rural Municipality, especially considering the area’s difficult geography and other challenges. The camp, which began on April 23, has provided services to 2,695 people across the rural municipality. Additionally, through the livestock branch of the municipality, medicines and consultation services were provided to 3,126 individuals at the ward level. Similarly, 165 individuals received services through a digital X-ray service conducted in coordination with the Health Office, Darchula. Additionally, samples related to tuberculosis were collected and tested from 17 individuals across the rural municipality.
Malikarjun Rural Municipality Chairperson Hira Singh Dhami stated that integrated health services were delivered directly at the ward level to ensure accessible and convenient service delivery for the public. He added that the municipality has consistently reached out to the wards to provide various services, including the distribution of social security allowances, health services, and farmer registration, as part of its ongoing commitment to bring services closer to the people.
