According to SP Apilraj Bohara of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, 26 teachers and school staff were injured in a clash with the police after the protesting teachers attempted to breach the prohibited area in Baneshwor on April 27. The teachers had been staging street protests demanding the Education Act since April 2.

The injured are receiving treatment at the Trauma Center, Civil Hospital, and Everest Hospital in Baneshwor as per Shankar Adhikari, the Chairperson of the All Nepal Unified Teachers’ Association.
