Police arrested Arjun Kadel, 40, of Deukaliya, Godaghodi Municipality-5 on April 17 for attempting to kill his four-year-old grandchild. Purna Bahadur Baduwal, the victim’s relative stated that while the child was playing on April 17, the accused, having mental instability, took the child to the straw barn and attempted to kill him by striking him with a sickle. Subsequently, a complaint was filed against the accused.
Inspector Dirgha Bahadur Saud of the Area Police Office, Sukhad said that the accused was arrested based on the same complaint and an investigation is ongoing. The child sustained a deep neck injury and is currently being treated at Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi.
