Police arrested Bijaya Tamang, 20, of Makalu Rural Municipality-4 on April 8 for raping a 16-year-old girl. The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on April 7 alleging that he raped the victim on April 1. Inspector Abhishek Shrestha of the District Police Office stated that the accused was arrested from his home on April 8 for investigation based on the same complaint.
The health examination of the victim was done at the District Hospital on April 8.
