Police arrested 23-year-old Shiva Prasad Tharu of Gulariya Municipality-1 on 6 March , 2025 for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl. The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, on 6 March alleging that he had raped the girl on 4 March. DSP Rishiram Dhamala stated that the investigation is ongoing.
The health examination of the victim was done on 6 March at the Bardiya Hospital, Gulariya.
