Police arrested Mukesh Prasad Yadav, Arun Prasad Yadav, and Munna Tiwari all 19-year-olds on charges of killing Ishal Prasad Kurmi, 17 of Birgunj Metropolitan City-27. DSP Subash Bhatta of the District Police Office stated that during interrogation, the accused admitted to killing Kurmi following a dispute while playing cards on February 19 and disposing of the body in the Bhedaha River. According to the victim’s father, Jogendra Kurmi filed a missing person report at the District Police Office, Parsa on February 19 after his son did not return home from work.
Ishal Kurmi’s body was found in Bhedaha Khola on February 23. SP Gautam Mishra informed that the District Court to extend the remand of the accused by six days for further inquiry.
The post-mortem of the body was done at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj on February 23.
