A complaint was filed against 39-year-old Ekkumar Rai of Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality-7 at the District Police Office on January 2, 2025 for the charge of raping a 20-year-old woman with disability. Inspector Sanju Karki said aggrieved party in their complaint alleged that the accused had raped the victim on June 16, 2024.
Inspector Karki added that the district court issued an arrest warrant against the accused on January 5, 2025. The accused is currently in the UK, the process of arresting the accused has been started in coordination with the Central Unit of the Nepal Police.
The health examination of the victim woman was conducted at the district hospital on January 2.
