The ward office and health post building in Rangeli Municipality-9, Pharsadangi, were vandalized on November 7, 2024, according to the ward chairperson of Rangeli Municipality-9, Chudamani Regmi. Ward chairperson Regmi stated that the assailants vandalized ten panes of five windows of the ward office and health post building. Ward chairperson Regmi added that the vandalism was carried out by children aged 11 to 16 on the night of the Chhath festival.
Inspector Santosh Kumar Khadka of the Rangeli Area Police Office stated that those involved in the incident have been identified, and after necessary investigation, the children have been handed over to the parents. Inspector Khadka stated that the initial investigation revealed that the children caused the vandalism under the influence of alcohol.
Ward chairperson Chudamani Regmi stated that the vandalism caused damages worth Rs 100,000.
