The district court has sentenced a 34-year-old father to life imprisonment for the crime of raping a 12-year-old girl.
District Court Judge Manoj Shrestha’s bench found him guilty on 22 october and imposed a life sentence, along with compensation of Rs 50,000 , a fine of Rs 700,000 , and a payment of Rs 28,000 to the victim’s relief fund, as per Amrita KC.
Aggrieve party filed a complaint at the Area police office on 27 april 2023 , Baniyanbhar stating that the girl was raped by her father on April 25, 2023. The accused was arrested by the police on 27 April.
The medical examination of the victim was done on 27 April at Bardia Hospital, Gularia.
