On September 23, 2024, the police arrested six individuals, including Mohammad Lauddin (31) and Ashok Sapani (30) from Gorakhpur, and Akshar Khan (31) from Maharajganj, India, on charges of gang-raping a 21-year-old woman.
The victim’s party filed a complaint at the District Police Office on September 23, 2024, stating that the accused had raped the woman on September 21, 2024. Based on the complaint, the accused were arrested, and further investigation is underway, according to DSP Manohar Prasad Bhatt of the District Police Office, who provided this information to INSEC.
The victim’s medical examination was conducted on September 22, 2024, at Bhim Hospital, Bhairahawa.
