The body of 60-year-old Chandra Bahadur Tamang was found in a suspicious condition at Mayalu Chowk in Patharishanishchare Municipality-7, according to police. DSP Mohanbikram Dahal of the Area Police Office, Pathari, stated that the deceased body was found inside his house on September 2. It has been reported that the victim sustained injuries with a sharp weapon on his head and chin.
Since 25-year-old Rabin Rai, the son-in-law of the deceased, absconded immediately after the incident, police suspect he may have been involved in the killing. DSP Dahal stated that the victim and Rabin were the only ones living in the house. Evidence suggests that they had consumed alcohol on the night of the incident, leading authorities to believe that Rabin might have killed his father-in-law after drinking.
The post-mortem of the dead body has been prepared to be done on September 22 at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
