The District Court has sentenced 30-year-old Anjan Gurung of Mechinagar Municipality-10 to three months in prison for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. As per registrar Kiran Singh ,District Court Judge Umesh Prasad Luintel delivered the sentence on 10 September .
The aggrieved party filed a complaint on June 14 at the local police office in Dhulabari against 30-year-old Anjan Gurung of Mechinagar Municipality-10 for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. The police arrested Gurung from his home on June 14 and registered a case of sexual harassment in the district court on July 5.
District Court Judge Ashok Kumar Basnet ordered on July 7 to require a bail amount of 1 lakh rupees. The accused was released on bail on the same day. The medical examination of the victim girl was conducted on June 14 at Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur.
