Police arrested Shyam Kumar Mahara Chamar, 37, of Hariwan Municipality-4 on September 3 for the charge of attempting to rape of a 32-year-old woman. The victim filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Hariwan on September 1, alleging that Mahara threatened and attempted to rape her at her home on August 18 when there was no one else present. Mahara was arrested on September 2 and the District Court extended the deadline for three days on 3 September and further investigation is going on as per, Inspector Anilraj Giri of the Area Police Office, Hariwan.
The health examination of the victim was done on 2 September at the Provincial Hospital Malangwa.
