The District Court has sentenced 41-year-old Raju Giri of Bagnaskali Rural Municipality-6 to six months imprisonment for the crime of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl.
The bench of District Court Judge Dal Bahadur KC on August 15, 2024 sentenced Giri to six months imprisonment along with a compensation of Rs 10,000 to the victim and a fine of Rs 10,000. The aggrieved party filed a complaint at the District police Office on 8 November alleging that Giri had sexually abused the victim on 7 November, 2023. Giri was arrested on the same day.
The health examination of the victim girl was done on November 8 at Palpa Hospital.
