Police arrested 57 years old Krishna Adhikari,also known as Jhayandra Adhikari of Morang District Rangeli Municipality-3, currently residing at Lalitpur Metropolitan City -24 Dhapakhel on 17 July for the charge of human trafficking of a 40-year-old woman. The accused lured the victim to take her to Kuwait on a visit visa from Dubai and on 11 June 2023 accused sent her to kuwait from dubai and made her hostage there and repeatedly raped her .Subsequently, Aggrieved party filed a complaint at the Lalitpur District Police Office and the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau in Kathmandu on December 17, 2023.
As per SP Nareshraj Subedi police arrested the absconding accused based on the complaint from Lalitpur Metropolitan City-24 Dhapakhel, Lalitpur. Dan Bahadur Karki, Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, informed that the Lalitpur District Court has extended the date for five days from 18 July 2024 for further investigation. The health examination of the victim was done at Thapathali Maternity Hospital in Kathmandu.
