Police arrested 40-year-old Manoj Shah on 7 July for the charge of killing his 69-year-old mother Radhika Devi Teli of Rajdevi Municipality-1, Pathara Tole. It is reported that the accused was absconding after the incident.
DSP Elija Giri informed that the accused allegedly killed his mother by striking her on the head with a Lohoro (traditional grinder) during a dispute over the partition of land in their home on the morning of 19 June.
As per DSP Giri, they are further investigating this matter after the District court has extended the date for further investigation . The post-mortem of the body was conducted at the Provincial Hospital on the day of the incident.
