Police arrested 40-year-old Gorkha Rawat on 5 July for the charge of beating 48-year-old Shankar Gupta, resident of Sarlahi and currently an Office Chief at the Ayurveda Health Center in Humla. It is reported that Rawat works in the same office.
Inspector Narendra Bahadur Chand said that the victim filed a complaint at the District Police Office on July 5, stating that he sustained neck injuries from the beating that occurred during office hours.
The accused Rawat has been taken into custody for beating Gupta over the matter of office work and the incident is being further investigated. Inspector Chand said that the victim is being treated at the district hospital.
