Police arrested a 40-year-old Rajesh Tamang on the charge of killing a 70-year-old senior citizen Gaurimaya Tamang of Bhadrapur Municipality-2 , Digau on June 28.
As per the locals the accused killed the victim by hitting her with a sickle during a dispute on June 28.
Based on the information given by the locals, police arrested the accused for investigation from the incident area where he was hiding.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at Mechi Regional Hospital, Bhadrapur on 28th June.
The aggrieved party took the dead body on 28 June and buried it in Mechi river.
