Police arrested 20-year-old Sudhir Kumar Ram of Debahi Gonahi Municipality-9, Kakarcha on 27 June for the charge of raping a 12-year-old girl.
The aggrieved party filed a complaint against the accused at Area Police Office, Chandranigapur on 27 June alleging that the he had raped the victim on the same day.
Inspector Surendra Bartaula of the Area Police Office reported that the accused was arrested on 28 June and the investigation is currently underway following the one week extension granted by the District Court .
The health examination of the victim was done on 27 June at Chandranigapur Hospital.
