Twenty eight-year-old husband was arrested on March 29, 2024 for the charge of marital rape of his 21-year-old wife of Surunga Municipality-1.
The victim filed a complaint at the local police office in Kadarbona on February 15, alleging that she was raped by her husband on the night of January 1, 2024. According to the victim, the accused visited her parents’ home in Agnisair Krishnasawaran Rural Municipality-1 and raped her against her will.
The medical examination of the victim was done on February 15 at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital Rajbiraj. A complaint was officially registered at the Area Police Office in Kadarbona on February 22. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued against the accused by the district court on the same day.
