Police arrested 37-years-old Dilkumar Rai on January 8 for allegedly killing his 19-years-old son Jiwan Rai of Mai Municipality-6, Bihibare.
DSP Prakash Jawegu of the District Police Office reported that the accused assaulted his son under the influence of alcohol. The victim died in the morning of January 9 at B&C Hospital, Birtamod during the treatment.
The locals filed a complaint against the accused for assaulting his son with a sharp weapon. DSP Jawegu said that the accused was arrested on January 8 based on the same information. The postmortem of the body was done on January 9 at Mechi Hospital, Bhadrapur.
