Police arrested 29-year-old Prabin Gurung of Pokhara-9, Prithvi Chowk, 23-year-old Nirmal Malla of Shankhamul, and 26-year-old Rajesh Thakuri of Pokhara-17 on January 5 for allegedly trafficking a child and two women.
The victims alleged that the owner of Kavreli Khaja Ghar of Pokhara-8, Jalpar Road initially offered them cleaning jobs when they were in trouble and lately engaged them in sexual activities.
DSP Shrawan BK of District Police Office, Kaski stated that the victims were initially involved in cleaning work in the hotel and later forced into meeting men and engaging in sexual work with the promise of higher earnings. He further added that the arrested accused are under investigation by the District Court on the charge of trafficking and sexual exploitation with an extension of 5 days.
