Sagar Nepali, 38, from Kushma Municipality-10 Pipaltari, Parbat, who was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment by the Parbat District Court on the charge of raping a 21-year-old woman, was arrested by the police on October 19 after 12 years.
The then Appellate Court Baglung (currently High Court Pokhara Baglung Bench, Baglung) sentenced him to 11 years of imprisonment for the crime of rape on March 21, 2012.
Inspector Keshav KC informed that the police team deployed from the District Police Office arrested the accused who was absconding after the court verdict and sent him to for the execution of the verdict on November 8, 2023.
