25-year-old Aarati Debi Shah of Bishrampur Rural Municipality-1 Chatawa was beaten and abused by her husband and his family members on October 25, 2023. The victim filed a complaint against the accused at the Women, Children and Senior Citizens Service Center of the District Police Office on October 27.
The victim alleges that the accused physically assaulted and abused her following a dispute over minor issues. She reported that her 30-year-old husband Parameshwar Shah, 35-year-old brother-in-law Ramesh Shah, 55-year-old father-in-law Sunaraman Shah, and 55-year-old mother-in-law Bigani Debi physically assaulted her with slippers and bamboo sticks, causing injuries and subjecting her to physical and mental torture during a family dispute on October 25.
The general treatment of the victim was done on October 25 at the Provincial Hospital Kalaiya.
Inspector Bimala Kumari Kathayat of Women, Children and Senior Citizens Service Center informed that the accused will be prosecuted according to the law after finding the facts about the incident.
