District Court Judge Ritendra Thapa has sentenced 50-year-old Lalu Prasad Yadav of Rapti Municipality-5 to two months’ imprisonment for the crime of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.
Additionally, Yadav has been ordered to pay 25,000 rupees as compensation to the victim and contribute 200 rupees to the victim relief fund.
The victim had filed a complaint at the district police office on June 21, alleging that Yadav had sexually abused her on June 20, 2008.
A health examination of the victim was conducted on June 20 at Bharatpur Hospital, and Yadav was promptly arrested on the same day.
Following a court order, Yadav was released on bail of 30,000 rupees on June 24.
