On August 13, a man named Chandra Bahadur Kunwar, aged 39 and residing in Tilottama Municipality, Indrenipath, was arrested by the police from his home. He has been accused of raping a 30-year-old woman with disability.
The alleged incident of rape occurred on August 8, and the victim subsequently filed a rape complaint at the local police office in Butwal on August 13. DSP Dan Bahadur Thapa from the Area Police Office in Butwal confirmed that the arrest was made based on the victim’s complaint. The police are actively investigating the incident. The victim underwent a medical examination at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa on August 8.
The arrest was carried out in response to the serious allegations made by the victim, and the legal process is now underway to determine the course of action regarding the accused.
