On July 8, Jeevan Karki, a 22-year-old resident of Sabhapokhari Rural Municipality-2, was arrested by the police on charges of rape a 40-year-old woman with a disability.
The victim lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on July 6, alleging that the incident occurred on July 5. Inspector Saroj Khanal of the District Police Office stated that based on the victim’s complaint, the accused was arrested from Sabhapokhari Rural Municipality-2, Dhupu.
The victim underwent a health examination at the district hospital on July 9, as part of the investigation process.
