The Court has sentenced Shubhlal Sardar, 39, alias Sudhlal, Khadag Municipality-10, Belha, to 7 years imprisonment on June 6 for the crime of rape of a 26-year-old woman.
The bench of District Judge, Lalkaji Shrestha, found the accused guilty and imposed a compensation of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 1,300 to be deposited relief fund for victims of criminal offenses, along with imprisonment.
The victim filed a complaint at Kalyanpur Area Police Office, on August 11, 2019, stating that the accused had raped her on January 4, 2019, and August 3, 2019. The police arrested the accused on August 11 and registered a complaint.
The victim’s health was examined at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajviraj on August 12, 2019.
According to the order of the District Court, the accused was remanded to judicial custody in Rajviraj Jail on September 5, 2019
