In collaboration with UPR Info, INSEC organized a workshop on mid-term reports under the third cycle of Universal Periodic Review (UPR) on June 14 at Dhulikhel, Kavre.
In the workshop, held on July 14- 15, Joint Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission Deepakdhawaj Jang Karki, during his address stated that all parties should work together on the issues raised in UPR.
Kapil Aryal, Nepal’s contact person for UPR reporting, aims to create a platform for discussion on each UPR reporting cycle, among civil organizations in a phased manner.
Chairperson of INSEC, Dr. Kundan Aryal, said that although there is no lack of laws in Nepal, it is felt that the implementation is far behind.
