The employees working in the health sector of Raskot municipality have complained that they have not received their salary for more than six months. During the staff adjustment, 15 employees, including an Assistant Health Worker, an Axillary Nurse Midwife, and Public Health Inspector complained that they have not received their salaries.
Senior Assistant Health Worker, Shankar Prasad Baral said that 15 permanent employees of the Health Service Group of the Government of Nepal have not received any salary allowance since July 2022.
Another senior Assistant Health Worker, Dhirendra Bahadur Khadka, said he has submitted a notice letter to the municipality because he has been working without pay for a year.
The Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Jawansingh Bam, said that the problem will be solved soon as the ministry has informed that the salaries of the workers will be allocated.
Even though the municipality assigned the Fazil employees to work in various community health units, the municipality stopped the salary from the financial year 022/023, onwards saying that there is no budget.
The Ministry of Health and Population allocated a budget for the other employees excluding salary allowance for Fazil employees.
