District Judge Dr. Rajendra Kumar Acharya’s bench adjourned the case against Deepak Kumar Yadav, 21, of Chinnamasta Rural Municipality-5, with a charge of kidnapping, holding hostage, and rape of a 17-year-old girl.
The girl was missing from Chinnamasta Shaktipith located in Chinnamasta Rural Municipality-3 since 4 July 2019. The victim’s grandfather filed a complaint at the district police office on 18 July 2019.
The District Police Office registered the complaint on 22 August 2019. The missing girl returned from India and was handed over to her grandfather on 4 September 2019. The accused remained to abscond throughout the legal proceeding, and the court filed the charge sheet on 7 August 2020.
