Ananath Baral of Pokhara Metropolitan City-30, filed a complaint, on 13 March 2023 at District Police Office against the then Warrant Officer first class Krishna Bahadur Gurung of Phulbari Vyrek, Pokhara, on the charge of the disappearance of Netra Prasad Barala during the armed conflict.
Annath Baral alleges that a team under the leadership of Gurung took control of his son Netra Prasad Baral from Kaski’s Bharatpokhari on 7 November 2003.
Annath Baral filed a complaint in the High Court of Pokhara on 13 December 2021 after he filed a complaint with the police and public prosecutor’s office. The High Court registered the complaint on 12 December 2022 and ordered to proceed with the process. According to him, there was some delay in filing the complaint.
In the petition, it has been demanded that the guilty should be prosecuted according to the offenses related to unlawful arrest and disappearance. DSP and Spokesperson of the District Police Office Shravan Kumar BK said that a complaint has been registered and the investigation process will be taken forward.
