Raj Lamichane, 24, of Changunarayan Municipality-7, has been arrested by the police on 22 February in the charge of sexually abusing a 22-year-old woman with intellectual disability.
As per the SP of Bhaktapur Police Circle Prajit KC, the victim was rescued from the bathroom of a guest house run by Raj Kumar Giri, a local of Changunarayan-5 and was brought to the Bhaktapur hospital for treatment. She had fainted in the bathroom.
SP KC informed that the victim had gone to the guest house with Raj Lamichhane on 21 February and the absconding accused was arrested based on the CCTV footage of the place.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Bhaktapur hospital on 22 February, 2023.
KC stated that the owner of the guest house, Raj Kumar Giri, 41, has also been arrested and the investigation is underway.
