Police arrested Laxman Paswan alias Ram Chalitar, 50, of Sambhunath Municipality-7, in the charge of rape of a 45-year-old woman.
Victim lodged a complaint at the area police office, Kalyanpur, on 19 February alleging that the accused raped her while she was watering the wheat field the same day.
Medical examination of the victim was conducted at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital, Rajbiraj, on 19 February. Villagers made a video of the incident, arrested the accused and handed over to the police.
As per the area police office, Kalyanpur, the case has been filed at the district police office and the investigation is underway.
