The annual review meeting for Human rights year book Lumbini organized by INSEC Lumbini Province Office, Nepalgunj, was held in Nepalgunj on January 4 and 5.
INSEC Lumbini Province Coordinator Bhola Mahat highlighted a need for an in-depth discussion regarding the legal process and access to justice for the victims of Human Rights Violations. The editing of the Nepal Human Rights Year Book 2023 should be truthful and record the individuals who assisted in the justice process.
About 2000 cases of human rights violations and abuses were recorded in the district. Among them are the cases of rape, domestic violence, human trafficking and transport, sexual abuse, and domestic violence.
In the program, Govinda Tripathi and Ramesh Prasad Timilsina from the INSEC central office facilitated the confirmation and re-confirmation of events to be included in the yearbook.
