Bal Bahadur Mukhia Kumal, 21, of Sandhikhark Municipality-5 Wangla Balewang was arrested on October 30, on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim had filed a complaint at the district police office on October 30, stating that the accused had raped the victim earlier this year on April 14.
Inspector Arjun Paudel, District Police Office said that based on the complaint, the victim was arrested. After the arrest and the detention period was extended on October 31.
The aggrieved party in a conversation with the INSEC representative reported that the rape victim was pregnant.
The health examination of the victim was done at District Hospital Sandhikhark on October 30.
