Subiksha Tharu, 17, of Madhuwan Municipality–1, who became disabled after falling from a bridge, was provided with her citizenship certificate at her home by Chief District Officer Gogan Bahadur Hamal on July 8, 2026.
Tharu, a Grade 12 student, suffered a spinal injury after falling from a bridge about two months ago. A team comprising Chief District Officer Gogan Bahadur Hamal, District Coordination Committee Chairperson Surya Bahadur Bista, Assistant Chief District Officer, Federation of Nepali Journalists District Chairperson Yagya Prasad Sapkota, and INSEC District Representative Prakash Paudel visited her home to deliver the citizenship certificate.
After receiving her citizenship certificate, Subiksha expressed her happiness and said that once she recovers, she hopes to set an example by contributing positively to society. She said, “The doctors have told me that I will recover after treatment.”
Chief District Officer Gogan Bahadur Hamal also pledged to coordinate with the concerned authorities to ensure the necessary support for Subiksha’s treatment.
