Accused Arrested in Beating Case

Police arrested Tanka Bahadur Tamang, 42, on charges of beating his mother-in-law, Chaturmaya Tamang, 80, and wife Indira Tamang, 39, of Arathai Rural Municipality-5, Chatheydhunga Archaleki.

The mother-in-law sustained injuries on her face, while the wife suffered injuries on various parts of her body.

Tank Bahadur Tamang, a permanent resident of Hilihang Rural Municipality-1 of Panchthar District, currently living in Chatteydhunga, Arathai Rural Municipality-5, is reported to have beaten his wife and mother-in-law during a domestic dispute on June 4, according to the police.

The victim’s family filed a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Sankranti.

The injured mother-in-law is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Panchthar District.
