An inmate who had escaped from the Regional Jail in Jhumka, Ramdhuni Municipality–5, during the Gen-Z Protest has been arrested by police.
Police arrested Bhim Bishwas Chaudhary, 23, of Itahari Sub-metropolitan City–8, along with illegal drugs from Itahari Municipality–4 on June 23.
According to DSP Chandra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, Chaudhary was arrested for investigation on June 23 while he was allegedly selling illegal drugs near Itahari Medical.
Chaudhary had escaped from Jhumka Jail on September 9, 2025, while serving a sentence in a theft case.
