Police arrested Rakesh Shrestha, 28, of Jugal Rural Municipality-5, on June 17, on charges of raping a 25-year-old woman.
According to Inspector Nagendra Basnet of the District Police Office, the victim’s family filed a complaint on June 2, accusing Shrestha of raping the victim on March 12.
The victim underwent a medical examination on June 2 at the Chautara Hospital.
