Eleven people have fallen ill after consuming wild mushrooms in Buttabari of Bahardashi Rural Municipality–2.
The 11 people became ill after eating mushrooms brought from the forest and cooked at the house of Tej Bahadur Khawas on May 10, 2026.
Kamalamaya Khawas, 50, Dilli Khawas, 31, and Anita Khawas, 20, fell ill after consuming the wild mushrooms. Eight children who ate the mushrooms have also become sick.
The children are undergoing treatment at a children’s hospital in Damak, while the others are receiving treatment at Mechi Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur.
Police said all of them were admitted to the hospital for treatment after suffering continuous vomiting from consuming the mushrooms.
